No Pants Poll

January 10th was the 8th annual No Pants Subway Ride. This year, over 1000 New Yorkers got on the subway, took off their pant and went for a ride.

The event was created by Improv Everywhere and has spread to other states and even other countries.

Unfortunately, the event wasn't held at a Jewish friendly time like, for example, Sunday and I was not able to participate. What I want to know is if the event would be at a Jewish friendly time, would you join? Comment and vote on the left.

The results are in:
WOULD YOU PARTICIPATE IN THE ANNUAL NO PANTS SUBWAY RIDE IF IT WOULD BE ON SUNDAY?
YES!
  7 (25%)

NO!
  14 (51%)

Only if my friends come too.
  5 (18%)

Only if none of my friends see me do it.
  1 (3%)

12, pretty good. Now who's brave enough to say they said yes? ;-)

  1. What you're a chicken afraid to strip your pants on Shabbos? Yeah? Afraid to come to shul in your Fruit of the Loom's? Eh, in the olden days, I remember, ...

  2. No, not really. As you know I'm often in yukata (kimono). :-P

  4. I am obsessed with improv everywhere.
The no pants subway thing was not among their funniest. Sorry don't have the link but search wendy's for redheads protest wendy's. Literally rofl.

  5. Saw it, didn't think it was that great.
My favorites: Groundhog's Day, Food Court Musical, Baseball Game, Best Buy and Starbucks.

The thing about the no pants is that it's every year and everyone can join. Unfortunately, most, if not all, of their skits are on Friday night or Shabbat.

Almost forgot about the way I found out about them, Grand Central Station.

  6. We should start a Jewish one of our own. Wearing pants in the Mikva!

  7. I wasn't so into grand central station. I loved food court musical though. Did you see circle line tours? McDonald's bathroom attendant? And don't know what it's called but anton chekov was really funny too. You need to go to their website and read the reports on the missions....

  8. I think I saw the one about the attendant.

I signed up to be an agent, but most of their events are on Friday or Saturday. :-(

  9. I think I witnessed once an improv or whatever you call it. So I was on a PATH train and there was this white guy making out with a black woman oblivious of everyone on the train. Like 20 minutes later in the train station, he is standing making out with some white woman, oblivious of everyone passing in the mezzanine.

  11. It started out with a few people who ended up getting arrested and grown into an almost national event with police escorts. I just wish I could go.
