I am working in a nursing home ventilator unit for the last 2 years as an RN. They are sponsoring my work visa (H1B) and my greencard. I have Israeli passport. The visa was approved and it's going to expire in Januray 2011, but the greencard processing has been put on hold for all immigrnat nurses for unknown governmental reasons.
I would like to leave my present employer and work for a hospital. Preferably in Manhattan but I am flexible. The most important part is that the sponsorship for a visa/greencard needs to be transfered to the new employer. I have had job offers, but those employers did not want to sponsor. Any help would be really appreciated.
Unknown government reason? How about the fact that American nurses for the first time in history are collecting unemployment?
