Pomegranate - 4 days later

I went to Pomegranate today because Paperific was already closed and Glatt Mart didn't have matjas herring. The management seems to have gained a little intelligence, not much, but it's a start.

Looks like they realized that produce goes bad fast and if no one buys it, they loose money. A lot of prices went down by as much as 30 cents. Stem tomatoes, $.69/lb. Both milks are now $2.99, still retarded but better than $3.29. The main point though is that after months of searching, I finally found Season's capelin black caviar. It disappeared from Paperific and Shop Rite after Pesach and was nowhere to be found. They have two sizes, 3.5oz and, I think, 2oz. The 3.5oz jar is for a an awesome price of $3.69.

The meat and fish still suck. They had a very pretty and well made shabbat sushi platter, that contained enough sushi for maybe two people, for the nice price of $60. Not gonna buy it even if it was half price.

  1. Glad you got what you are looking for. I still have to go check it out.

I've actually went to paperific recently and it brought back so much memories of old stuff I used to buy. I saw potato poppers there, I haven't seen that in other stores.

But one day perhaps I'll come to visit...Maybe a day when FrumSkeptic comes over, so I can meet both of you at the same time.

  4. Hey, maybe we can have an American/Tri State Area blogger's conference.

I'm just wondering how the babysitter manages to be everywhere at once, and still keep her site updated. I'm betting she's really superwoman

  5. End Of World: Yea, that would be cool.

To answer your question, now that I'm on a bit of vacation I have more time to read other peoples blogs and comment. During school time though there had been weeks going by before reading some blogs, then I would read like 20 posts in a row. But it makes it helpful to have a feel reader, like google reader, to keep up with everybodies posts.

Commenting on stuff that I already commented on, are the easiest since I get an e-mail, and its just more like a conversation, rather than a comment out there to everyone, so its easier to pick words to comment.

Plus I don't really post so much, I have like 11 things to write about, that I haven't yet, I want to have 100 posts at the end of Dec, which will end my first year of having my blog, so since I already have more than 70, I only need to do like 6 a month to accomplish that goal.

  8. Yah, childish is also around. That's even better because I don't think having fs' dad and babysitter in one room is a good idea. ;-)

    Is everyone around September 6th?

  10. Not a blogger very vocal about frummies. And while I agree with him, I don't think you'll enjoy the meal.
